Four bedroom winter season chalet in Chamonix to rent.
This is a modern Luxury Chamonix chalet with en-suite rooms, Jacuzzi, log fire and mountain views. Located close to Lac Guillands sleeping eight people for the winter season. This modern chalet is constructed in traditional Savoyarde style by Nicodex, the master builder of mountain refuges and closely reflects this pedigree, with a wealth of wooden beams, an open plan lounge and dining area for socialising and a charming open fire-place constructed in stone and wood.
The main living area of the house is open plan, with lots of natural light. There are three sets of patio doors leading to a large, wrap around south facing terrace complete with Jacuzzi / hot-tub and magnificent mountain views of the Mont Blanc Massif. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with large Miele fridge freezer, oven and microwave and Bosch dishwasher, a dining area for ten people and a lounge area with comfy leather sofas, a surround sound system, flatscreen TV with UK satellite TV and a media player.
There are three double/twin bedrooms and a bunk bedroom. All are en-suite and spacious. All have built in wardrobes, TVs and DVD players. Each en-suite bathroom has a washbasin and toilet and a hairdryer. Three of these bedrooms are on the first floor. Two of these have large showers, with the third bathroom having a double ended bath (no tap end!) with overhead shower. Each are named after the stunning views you can experience from their balconies – Brevent allows you a 180 panorama from Les Houches across Le Aiguillette to the Brevent, Midi takes in the Aiguille de Midi, Mont Blanc itself and the Bossons Glacier and Grepon adds a view of that classic alpine peak.
On the lower floor of the chalet is the Refuge, constructed by a local Chamonix carpenter and high mountain guide to provide a more authentic mountain refuge experience, with full size bunk beds. This floor includes a small office area and a guest toilet with washbasin. There is also a utility area, complete with Bosch washing machine and separate tumble-dryer, and the lower ground floor also includes a ski and boot room with boot drier, which can also be accessed directly from outside via the double garage and finally, there is a table tennis table for the competitive amongst you.
The chalet benefits from WiFi, satellite TV and Media PC. There is parking for three cars as well as a double garage as well as a south facing terrace.
There is local shopping with bakery, supermarket and pharmacy with a few bars and restaurants nearby. The chalet is 20 minutes flat walk into town.
