Chalet location

The Skiers Lodge is ideally situated in the World Cup Ski Circuit venue of   Les Houches, which is one of the ski areas that make up the resorts of the   Chamonix Valley. Under the fabulous panorama of the Mont-Blanc chain,   with soaring peaks and sweeping glaciers, the chalet is a rare find, in a   privileged position - Right on the downhill piste. You can ski to the door!   And just a short 200m level walk to the cable car and four-seat chair lift.

The chalet accommodates up to 16 guests in 5 bedrooms. All with en-  suite or private facilities. Wood panelling, hand-made curtains and soft  furnishings, together with bespoke, traditionally crafted seating surrounding   the open log fire, all create a welcoming sense of relaxation and warmth.

Eating & drinking

You will enjoy a Champagne reception and our talented chef will prepare  breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés and a four-course gourmet dinner with   wine, in the separate kitchen, leaving guests to relax in peace and quiet.   The dining area seats up to 12 and an earlier evening sitting is provided for   children. There is also a complimentary open bar. The separate brand new   Schmidt kitchen is fully-equipped complete with american fridge-freezer   and Icemaker.

Children

Welcome. Car seats, high chairs, buggies and children’s cutlery can all be   provided. Kids’ menus can be arranged on request. The chalet has a garden, and a hill for toboganning next to it, where parents can view their youngsters from within the warmth of the chalet.

Chalet description 

Wood panelling, rich fabrics, thick carpets and Italian tiled flooring  create a warm, cosy atmosphere. All bedrooms have en-suite or  private facilities with complimentary toiletries. The separate kitchen  for our chef ensures privacy and quiet for guests relaxing in the  comfortable dining and sitting areas. These open out onto the large  elevated terrace which affords stunning views of the Mont Blanc range.

Bedrooms

Bedroom 1: This double/twin/family room on the upper floor sleeps up to 4   and has en-suite facilities. South facing towards the mountain from its   balcony you can look up the Kandahaar World Cup downhill slope.

Bedroom 2: Also a double/twin/family room sleeping up to 4 with en-suite facilities. On the upper floor, there are views from its balcony right along   the valley.

Bedroom 3: This double room has en-suite facilities and is also on the  upper floor. Balcony with splendid views of the surrounding mountains.

Bedroom 4: A double/twin/3-bed room sleeping up to 3. This bedroom   benefits from private facilities across the hallway. Access to south facing   balcony overlooking the garden.

Bedroom 5: A twin/3-bed room sleeping up to 3. This bedroom is the only bedroom on the ground floor near the kitchen and living areas. It has en-   suite shower/basin with a toilet across the hallway.

Living room

The living space next to the dining area has an open fireplace with log fire,   large 'L' shaped seating and overlooks the hot tub and elevated terrace.   There are beautiful views across the valley to the Aiguille du Midi. Complete   with a widescreen television, Sky satellite, dvd player, Sony PS2 and Wii,   the area is also covered by complimentary WIFI access.

Dining room

The dining area is on the other side of the fireplace and overlooks the garden and ski piste. The dining table can seat a maximum of 12 guests so children usually have an earlier separate sitting.

Separate kitchen

This is where chef works his magic in the brand new, fully fitted, Schmidt   kitchen. Complete with american fridge/freezer and ice maker it is available   for guests to use outside of meal preparation and serving times.

Fine dining service 

We believe that fine dining is a crucial aspect of your holiday experience.   

As a rule, we do not work with set menus nor repeat the same menus weekly. We choose to select our dishes according to the best products  available at the time of production. Specific dietary requests are never a problem, and all of our menus are created with fresh meat, fish and vegetables and are prepared with care to give you the quality dining.

Individual Banana Tart Tatin with Mascarpone and a Butterscotch Sauce

Dark Chocolate Souffle with a white chocolate sauce

Vanilla and Rasberry 'Sushi' with pistachio crepes

Morning

Breakfast is an important meal, so    start the day with Fresh local bread,    Fresh fuit platter, yoghurts, ham    and cheese, cereal selection, milk,    orange juice, water, selection of    herbal teas and coffee. Each day chef offers a full cooked breakfast with a selection of hot dishes. Chef    will also provide children's lunches  on request.

Afternoon Tea

You will be welcomed back to the    chalet by the inviting aroma of    freshly baked cakes, laid out with    tasty nibbles, tea and coffee.

Evening Dinner

Served on five nights each week, evening dinner is preceeded with mouth-watering canapes and    consists of four to six courses including wine. On the remaining   two nights we request that you dine out and we can assist with recommendations of local restaurants.

Children

For the little ones High Tea/Early evening supper is normally served at    about 6pm. We offer a selection of home cooked meals or please let us    know what dishes are preferred. Once the little ones have been fed    and watered this leaves you to enjoy your dinner later in the evening in a relaxed atmosphere.

Christmas & New Year

We pull out all the stops. The chalet    is decorated and there is space    under the Christmas tree for your presents. Enjoy traditional Christmas Dinner with champagne and hand-made crackers.

On New Years Eve you will enjoy a    gala dinner followed by champagne    and your very own firework display at mid-night!

A personal service, safe, friendly    and completely reliable. The chalet chauffeur is available at your request to take you wherever you want to go. Sample different Chamonix ski areas, A trip    to Courmayeur or other neighbouring resorts. The collection and return of ski equipment, children to ski school or creche. It's all taken care of for you.
